Logan City Residents are being warned to be on alert for scams following this week’s severe storms to hit the region.
Homes and businesses in Greenbank were hardest hit with more than a thousand properties losing power.
More than 4,000 were blacked out across Logan City.
Many properties still had tarps on them, from the last round of hail storms that hit last October.
Paul Holmes from Legal Aid has said these are the home owners who are quite vulnerable to scammers.
He believes it can be worse where areas have been hit by a number of storms in such a short period of time.
