UPDATE:
Police have located the body of a 13-year-old boy who went swimming at Cedar Creek Falls today.
The teenager was located by police divers with the assistance of swift water rescue teams just after 10pm.
Preliminary information suggests the boy attended the falls with friends under adult supervision and entered the water just before 5pm.
He failed to resurface.

Following the report of a missing boy earlier this afternoon, police have begun a search of the Cedar Creek Falls area.
According to police, around 4:45pm the boy and a friend were swimming at the falls when they both got into trouble, and one of the boys failed to return to shore.
Emergency services were notified a short time later.
Specialist police, with the assistance of Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and the Queensland Ambulance Service, commenced a ground and water search for the missing boy, with the search continuing into the night.
