Some good news for Scenic Rim homeowners,  with a reduction in the price of water.

Urban Utilities has announced a 9.6 percent cut to its water sewerage bill,  to come into effect from October.

That’s an average reduction of $25 per quarter,  based on a water usage rate of 150kl per year.

The charge is separate from the “State Bulk Water” fee which is set and controlled by the Queensland Government.

Michelle Cull from Urban Utilities says prices are changing by different amounts in the five local council regions that they operate in.

She says some areas will see a decrease and others will see an increase.

“We’re making several important changes to our prices and tariffs next financial year to make them more consistent across our service region and easier for customers to understand”.

Prices for 2021/22 are available on the Urban Utilities website at urbanutilities.com.au/prices..
