  • Scott Mayman is an award-winning radio presenter and journalist who has worked professionally in both Australia and in the United States and is also a Correspondent for CBS News Radio in New York.

Another cold morning across the region – but not as cold as it was yesterday across Logan City and the Scenic Rim and certainly not as cold as previous years.

in 2019, nearly to this date,  the mercury at Greenbank recorded minus 2.1 degrees

Not as cold this week,  but certainly it’s been the coldest week of the year for the region.

Forecaster MATT MARSHALL says the mercury should warm up by tomorrow.

“Most of these temperatures are around three or four degrees below our normal overnight temperatures for May.

“This is probably the last really, REALLY cool night we’ll experience.

“Most nights… are gradually going to start gradually warming up a little bit to our May average”.

THE UPCOMING FORECAST:

Partly cloudy today with a top of 23.

The odd shower moving in tomorrow,  with overnight temperatures in the low teens.
