Lamington National Park will today roll out the red carpet for a visit by the Governor General.
David Hurley and his wife Linda will travel to Binna Burra this afternoon, to recognise the fire-fighters involved in battling the 2019 blaze that destroyed the facility.
The couple will also unveil “The Local Heroes sculpture” that recognises the firefighters who battled the intense blazes.
The unveiling is scheduled to take place at 2:00 this afternoon.
