A scare for local shoppers on Tuesday afternoon in Kearneys Spring.
A car smashed into the Koorong bookstore in Ruthven Street.
The female driver managed to remove herself from the wreck and was treated on scene, but overall appeared uninjured
She was taken to St Vincent’s Private Hospital as a precaution.
The accident caused several windows to be smashed but a check of the property showed no structural damage.
The cause of the crash remains a mystery.
