Forde MP Bert van Manen said the federal government’s Jobmaker Digital Business Plan will help small businesses in Logan City to digitise so they can be more competitive.

The $800 million plan is aimed at helping businesses create jobs as we emerge from the COVID-19 crisis.

Mr van Manen said there are more than 17,000 small businesses in the Forde electorate that can benefit from the plan.

“Many businesses moved online quickly when the pandemic hit, undergoing a decade of change in months, finding new customers or new ways of doing things,” he said.

“Our JobMaker Digital Business Plan provides significant backing to continue that digital push and expand opportunities for businesses to grow and create more jobs.”

The Australian Small Business Advisory Service – Digital Solutions program is available to small businesses with fewer than 20 full-time employees, as well as sole traders.
