Wednesday afternoon storms have brought down power lines, blacking out more than a thousand homes across the Scenic Rim.
Areas affected include Flagstone, Jimboomba, Riverbend, Stockleigh, Tamborine and Tamborine Mountain.
Parts of Logan City were also impacted by the storm, however some areas were already without supply due to planned maintenance
