Parts of the Darling Downs are again on alert for Covid-19.
It’s been revealed, an infected truck driver from New South Wales travelled into Queensland last week.
The exact date of travel was August 25th with the truckie visiting service stations in Goondiwindi as well as Archerfield in Brisbane.
It’s understood the man spent just one day in the community while infectious.
Exposure sites include:
- Thursday 26 August – Goondiwindi BP Truckstop
BP Service Station, 11/11 Cunningham Hwy, Goondiwindi, 5.30pm-6.30pm - Thursday 26 August – Truck driver amenities/ dining area, Goondiwindi BP Truckstop

Queensland Trucking Association chief executive Gary Mahon says drivers are getting tested several times a week because of the uncertain test result timelines.
Rapid antigen tests can provide a result within 20 minutes, but are not as accurate as regular testing.
Earlier, it was revealed outback towns along the border were not being included in the Queensland state government’s sewage testing for COVID-19 fragments, which has been used as a key early warning sign to help prepare for outbreaks.
That decision changed earlier this week with Queensland Health confirming it had invited Goondiwindi to join the wastewater surveillance program.
