Police believe Moore died sometime between late Friday evening and early Saturday morning—a narrow window that investigators are using to establish a timeline. The injuries sustained suggest deliberate harm rather than accident or natural causes, according to Acting Chief Superintendent Chris Lawson's statement to media on Monday.

"There was a number of injuries on the deceased that caused us to believe that it's not just a sudden death that's occurred as a result of a natural incident," Lawson said.

"There was varying numbers at the party at various points throughout the night, but police are actively identifying those who were at the party and seeking versions from them as to what was occurring," Lawson said.

Moore's family has publicly mourned the loss. His sister, Mikaela, posted a tribute on social media describing him as "cheeky" and "goofy," emphasizing his place within the family and community.

"You were the best brother anyone could ever ask for. You were the best kid and you were so loved by everyone. Forever 18," she wrote.
