Queensland health department authorities still have not been able to get in touch with everyone who was at the Glen Hotel at Eight Mile Plains last Wednesday, December 16.
One of the problems they’ve been encountering is not being able to read some illegible handwriting at check-in points at the pub, meaning they have not been able to get contact details of some people who visited the hotel at a particular time on that day.
A woman from Sydney’s northern beaches, which is now a COVID-19 cluster hotspot, visited the Glen at lunchtime on December 16 before knowing that she was infected with coronavirus.
As a result, hotels, bars and cafes across Queensland have been given 72 hours to move away from paper-based check-ins and will have to implement QR code sign-in systems.
