Police have confirmed a woman was arrested after witnesses confirmed she ‘made a scene’ outside a sports store at the Logan City Hyperdome when asked to wear a face mask.
Loganholme Police arrested the 23-year-old for creating a disturbance and refusing to comply with police directions at the shopping centre.
The Loganlea woman was issued with an infringement notice which carries a penalty of $1,334
Police say the woman was arrested for creating a disturbance, rather than failing to wear a mask.
She was later released from police custody.
A witness took to social media to share the scene.
“The young woman was carrying on like a pork chop screaming blue bloody murder,” he said.
