A Logan City man has died and another man and woman have been seriously injured following two separate weekend crashes.
Around 10:30pm Saturday, investigations suggest a 37-year old Meadowbrook man was travelling along Telegraph Road in Bracken Ridge when his black Mazda 3 left the road and crashed into a tree.
He died at the scene.
In a separate crash just before 1:30am Sunday, early investigations suggest a Holden Commodore was travelling along Bumstead Road at Crestmead when it collided head on with a Toyota RAV4.
The driver and sole occupant of the Commodore, a 21-year-old man, was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries.
An 18-year-old girl driving the Toyota RAV4 was also taken to the PA Hospital suffering critical life-threatening injuries. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Officers from the forensic crash unit are continuing investigations into both crashes.
Anyone who witnessed either crash, or may have footage, is asked to come forward to police.
And in an earlier accident in Slacks Creek, two women were taken to Logan Hospital in stable conditions after paramedics came across a two-vehicle crash on the Pacific Highway at around 6:35pm Saturday.
The crashes come after police on Friday appealed to drivers to take extra care on our roads leading up to Australia Day.
