Logan City resident appalled by ‘white pride’ vandalism

A concerned member of the Mount Warren Park community, in Logan City, said she was on a morning walk with her husband when she spotted ‘horrific Nazi’ and ‘white pride’ vandalism at Noyer Park.

“We walk the park everyday,” she said.

“I was appalled to see the vandalism of our lovely park which is often vandalised and felt deeply for those who lost loved ones in that horrific Nazi period.”

The vandalism was on a recently installed kiddies bike track, and included the Nazi symbol, a picture of male genitals with a Nazi symbol on it, and the words ‘White pride’ next to another Nazi symbol.

“I am all for more cameras,” the concerned resident said.

“This lot, and a lot more near the car park, is in easy range of the camera.

“I guess the cameras are more used for possible apprehension of the culprits rather than catching them in the act.

“I don’t think these dropkicks find the cameras a deterrent.

“At least there was a council officer taking photos of the damage….and hopefully with the aid of the camera vision will find these idiots who are defacing our beautiful community and costing us all money.”

Councillor Karen Murphy took to social media to share her disgust.

“Thank you to the Mount Warren Park residents who reported the disgusting, anti-Semitic graffiti at Noyer Park,” she said.

“The graffiti has been reported for immediate removal.

“Logan City Council’s City Standards Branch will be going through the CCTV cameras at the park and investigate this incredibly disgusting act.

“We live in an incredibly beautiful and diverse multicultural community and this incidence of anti-social behaviour is incredibly disappointing.”
