Logan City has recently had an array of new CCTV cameras installed, to make the city a safer place to live and work.
Councillor Karen Murphy has shared her progress with the new Eagleby CCTV cameras, and even some of the first photos taken.
“How cool are these pics showing you the view from our brand new CCTV cameras in Eagleby,” Cr Murphy said.

“These are the first pictures taken from the cameras installed in Eagleby with one more waiting to be connected and two being installed as we speak.
“One of the first jobs I did after being elected was to investigate how we can make Eagleby a safer place to live and work. It was one of biggest issues I heard from residents during the election and I was determined to address it.”
Councillor Murphy said with the help of the Community Services team and Eagleby Police, she was able to secure funding for the delivery of 5 new CCTV cameras for Eagleby.

“The locations were identified following extensive community consultation with local police and residents to ensure we were installing these at the right places,” Cr Murphy said.
“These cameras are the first two locations to be activated with three more on the way.
“The live feed will be actively monitored by Logan City Council’s community safety team and will play a key role in helping local police investigate crimes, accidents and act as a deterrence for illegal behaviour.

“Logan City Council has a network of over 250 CCTV cameras that operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to keep you and your family safe.
“I’m always looking at installing these cameras at more locations where possible so please get in touch if you have any feedback or suggestions.”
