Renewed calls for public help in reporting Covid 19 breaches

  • Rod Stephen is a former television journalist and has worked as Foreign Editor for the Seven Network, Australian Bureau Chief for TV3 New Zealand, UK correspondent for Seven and ABC radio and as a producer for Reuters TV in London as well as SBS in Sydney and Melbourne before returning to Brisbane to work at 4BC.

Police have renewed their calls for public help in reporting any Covid -19 breaches in Logan City.
To report a breach you only need to click HERE and fill out the form.
State Disaster Coordinator Steve Gollschewski  has said the community response to the unprecedented measures had been, on the whole, very positive.
“We encourage members of the public to use the online form to report any blatant breach of the Chief Health Officer’s public health directions. “To date, we have received a lot of information from the public and we will continue to work with our community to keep everyone safe,” he said.
“The reason why Queensland is achieving promising outcomes is because of what measures we have put in place, not in spite of them, so this is not the time to be complacent.”
Authorities are also reminding us to be vigilant and get tested for Covid 19 if you feel sick.

Queensland Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young recently said Queensland Health has increased its testing capacity to help manage demand at respiratory clinics across the state, particularly in the south-east corner.

“A positive sewage result means that someone who has been infected was shedding the virus,” Dr Young said in an earlier statement.
