Logan City has it’s very own fairy god mother, who for the last couple of years has been working tirelessly to give approximately 500 Logan City girls and boys their Cinderella moment for their school formal.
From her Woodridge garage, the humble mum-of-four is helping ensure Logan’s year 12 students can get dressed up for their school formal.
Tammy Robinson started the program in 2019 after realising many local students were unable to attend their school formals because of the cost of the occasion.
Last year, she made the dreams come true for 217 children from 45 different schools in the city of Logan.
Her program is called Formally After and is run through a Facebook page.
“Imagine being a student and not even thinking about going to your final year 12 celebrations because you know its too much money for formal wear,” Tammy shared on social media.
“Imagine listening to everyone else super excited to attend and you cant…but with Formally Ever after dreams do come true.
“All students should get to go to their formals and not worry about how they’ll get a dress or a suit for this special event in their life . They should all go with confidence, pride, amazing smiles and have the best night.
“Your Formal is closure for all your hard work. I grew up In this area and I fully understand how hard life can be when there isn’t much money to spare .
“Every item I get is donated for the students, I clean them up, sort them then re gift them to the students. If I cant use it I offer it to another great community program who can.”
Tammy said in the last two years she’s dressed approximately 500 Logan City students from around 45/50 schools.
