The operator of a Park Ridge industrial warehouse is facing more than 10-thousand dollars in fines in the wake of a blaze at its facility just two months ago.
Thick smoke choked nearby residents at Crestmead, Chambers Flat and Marsden when the fire broke out at the Koplic Road warehouse.
It was later discovered that the facility had been housing about 8,000 tyres and 19-thousand litres of grease.
Crews battled the blaze throughout the night and into the morning.
The fines were issued after the company failed to comply with a direction notice, issued in May last year, to stop waste activity at the site and remove all waste.
