Forecasters say a burst of winter air could stay with us until early next week.

Temperatures are expected to plummet from tonight as the cold snap moves in.

It’s expected to bring rain, damaging winds and the potential snow for areas like Warwick and Stanthorpe… which could see temperatures dipping to -2 degrees.

Weather bureau officials believe it’ll be the coldest June for the region in a decade.

The snow’s expected to be more of a dusting,  but the cold temperatures are forecast to stay across the region until atleast Monday.
