Toowoomba’s LifeFlight helicopter crew has winched an injured man to safety, after he fell at a popular mountain in the Scenic Rim.
The man, in his 60s, was reportedly hiking in a group, when he fell, dislocating his shoulder.
The rescue chopper was called to the scene just after midday today.
Due to the difficult terrain, the LifeFlight Critical Care doctor and a flight paramedic were winched down to treat the patient.
The man was hoisted into the helicopter before being flown to Toowoomba Airport.
The hiker was then transported by ambulance to hospital in a stable condition.
