A shocking crash between two four wheel drives at Cedar Creek in the Scenic Rim has left a mother dead and four other people seriously injured.
The woman who was killed is a 47 year old mum from Yatala. Her two teenage daughters and their dad are fighting for life in hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to hospital in a critical condition after their two four wheel drives collided head-on while travelling along Plunkett Road at Cedar Creek just after six oçlock last night.
Multiple emergency services, including a critical care unit as well as two rescue choppers were sent in to treat and transfer the most seriously injured to hospital.
This terrible crash brings the road toll to 244 lives lost this year.
