Spill and crash chaos on Logan roads

A reported diesel spill at Loganholme and a crash at Park Ridge have kept emergency services at Logan busy this morning.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Service crews from Logan responded to a reported diesel spill on Allan Street, Loganholme, just before 10.30am.

On arrival, crews found a diesel spill that had stretched over 200 metres of road, near the intersection of Chetwynd Street.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Spokesman says crews poured absorbent over the spill.

Logan City Council, as well as the Department of Transport and Main Roads, were notified of the incident.

Emergency services also responded to a two vehicle crash at Park Ridge Road, Park Ridge, just before 11am.

The crash was reported as a nose-to-tail collision.

A patient was transported to Logan Hospital in a stable condition.

It follows a busy night for emergency services, as three people recover in hospital today after separate vehicle crashes in Logan overnight.
