A much much loved founding member of Logan basketball has passed away
Logan Basketball has lost one of its founding members, Jim Kerr.
Jim was instrumental in his commitment to Logan Basketball and affiliated junior club the Logan Cavaliers Basketball Club over the past 23 years.
He was a founding member of LBI in 1998 and served on the management committee for a number of years helping establish the organisation in the Logan City community.
A spokesperson for the club says, ”Jim was also key in delivering the East Coast Basketball Challenge a tournament that ran for over 18 years and shared our great game with clubs and teams from all over the East Coast of Australia.”
“His tireless efforts and work enriched players, coaches, referees, volunteers and members of the Thunder Family. Without Jim’s service and dedication, Logan Basketball would not be what it is today.”
In recognition of his outstanding service to LBI, Jim was awarded Logan Basketball Life Membership in 2018.
“Logan Basketball extends our sincere condolences to Jim’s wife Cheryl, children Belinda, Brendan, Rowan and extended family and loved ones at this time.
Funeral details to be advised.”
