There will be activities and sports for everyone to enjoy at the Beenleigh PCYC come and try open day this Saturday.
PCYC Beenleigh offers a wide variety of educational, training and employment opportunities, as well as an array of crime prevention and youth developmental programs.
The open day will take place on Saturday from 8.30am to 11.30am, weather dependant, and will offer activities for free to everyone that attends and wishes to try them.
Sone of the activities taking place on the day include karate from 8.30am to 9.30am, boxing at 9am and 10am, taekwondo from 9.30am to 10.30am, group fitness classes at 9.30am and 10.30am, gymnastics at 10.30am, while the QPS Beep Test will take place at 11am.
Youth Club Manager Sergeant Mark Haestier says it will be a great day for the family.
“We normally have an open day every year, but this is the first open day for a couple of years, due to COVID.
“It’s just for us to show off the activities we offer, as well as our upgraded gym and fitness centre.
“if you want to come along and have a try at different activities, Saturday is the day.
“Irrelevant of your age or ability, there is something in this club for everyone, from sport and recreation, to education, training and employment.”
There will also be an animal farm on site from 9am to 11am, as well as coffee van, face painting and crazy hair stall.
