Logan Hospital has mandated the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in line with a recommendation by Queensland Health.

Staff, patients and visitors to the health facility are required to wear face coverings, maintain social distancing and wash their hands as part of ongoing efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Queensland Health is advocating that all Greater Brisbane area healthcare facilities adhere to the same regulations.

Queensland’s chief health officer Dr Jeanette Young said the recommendation made sense following the COVID-19 cluster at the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre at Wacol.
