Logan residents are being warned to prepare for minor flooding and some moderate flooding in isolated areas as the Logan and Albert Rivers continue to rise as a result of the heavy rainfall.
The Bureau of Meteorology says intense rainfall totals of 200 millimetres may occur with any thunderstorms.
The bureau advises that because many catchments are now saturated, there’s an increased risk of dangerous and life threatening flash flooding and even landslides during this extreme weather.
This low pressure system is expected to move south towards the north eastern New South Wales coast tomorrow.
People living or working along rivers and creeks are being advised to monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings.
The Commander of State Operations for Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, Cheryl- Lee Fitzgerald says when it comes to flood waters the message is always the same.
