The Logan District Crime Prevention Unit held a Coffee with a Cop event at Yarrabilba last Saturday and it was very successful.
The aim of these ongoing events is to encourage the community to come forward and speak with police in a comfortable and local environment while enjoying a free coffee.
Utilising Logan District’s newest asset – a multi functional and equipped Mobile Police Beat van, police were able to partner with a local business to bring the activity to the community.
It was attended by the Crime Prevention Unit and Yarrabilba Division’s Officer in Charge Sergeant Nathan Booth with support from Logan City Council.
A large number of locals turned out to discuss crime prevention and to talk about other impacts being experienced in the area.
One lucky resident walked away with a gift donated by Logan City Council for her enthusiasm over creating a safer community.
This activity will continue to occur across Logan and the Scenic Rim in the coming months.
