Tennis could be the winner in Beenleigh

The next Ash Barty or Patrick Rafter could be living in Beenleigh, that’s why the Federal Government and Tennis Queensland has promised to invest in tennis in the Logan suburb.

The Federal Member for Forde, Bert van Manen says a re-elected Liberal National government will provide $5 million to finance Tennis Queensland’s master plan to grow and sustain the sport from grassroots to elite level.

“I believe the best way to discover our best tennis prospects is while they’re young.”

“That’s why the Coalition Government is committed to working with Tennis  Queensland to invest in our future champions.”

“If we’re successful in next month’s Federal Election we will provide $5 million to support the sport in our area.”

The plan promotes tennis, for junior and adult players, through schools, tertiary institutions, local clubs and associations, as well as private centres and coaches.

Tennis Queensland General Manager. Elia Hill says. “As the recent AusPlay data shows, tennis is our fastest growing sport,”

“Investments such as this will enable the sport to continue that momentum and  allow adults and kids for generations to experience the health and wellbeing benefits of tennis in the Beenleigh community.”

“This $5 million investment into tennis will see significant impact in the Beenleigh community with both economic and health outcomes.”

“Tennis is the fastest growing sport, and investments like this will allow continued  growth of tennis participation in Beenleigh with great social and economic benefits  for the community.”

My van Manen says.“This is just another great example of the Liberal National government delivering for the local community.”
