Logan City Mayor Darren Power took time out of this week’s Council monthly meeting to acknowledge and congratulate the Councillors on six months in the job.
“Last week was six months in office,” he said.
“It has been a long journey to get here and I thank all my colleagues for coming along for the journey.
“I believe we have fought many battles already. A lot of people don’t realise a lot of the things we’ve achieved already.
“I’m looking forward to the next three and a half years.
“Let’s just hope the covid disappears and that we have some clear sailing. Because there’s been some rough seas. But we have survived.
“There’s a lot of positive stuff out there though. A lot of really good news. Particularly with the development scene.
“I see some positive forward projection for this city. I’m looking forward to being the mayor for the next three and half years.”
