Legendary cricketer praises Pink Stumps Day

  • Rod Stephen is a former television journalist and has worked as Foreign Editor for the Seven Network, Australian Bureau Chief for TV3 New Zealand, UK correspondent for Seven and ABC radio and as a producer for Reuters TV in London as well as SBS in Sydney and Melbourne before returning to Brisbane to work at 4BC.

Last month, the day at Glenlogan Park, raised more than 30-thousand-dollars for the McGrath Foundation.
Foundation President and Co-founder, Glenn McGrath has thanked all the supporters:

“Thank you so much to the Jimboomba Cricket Club and community. We are just blown away by the support you have all shown for Pink Stumps Day and our McGrath Breast Care Nurses. Without amazing communities likes yours coming together to raise funds we simply couldn’t continue funding McGrath Breast Care Nurses to help individuals and their families affected by breast cancer – for free.

Jimboomba has been participating in Pink Stumps Day for five years now and it just keeps getting bigger and better every year. And after the tough past twelve months everyone has had, this support is more important than ever, so thank you to Rodney Teese, Melissa Benstead and everyone who participated or contributed.”
