After a call out was made for 150 knitted poppies for a Logan City ANZAC Day display, it only took a week for a group of Logan City volunteers to deliver above and beyond.
Member for Woodridge Cameron Dick took to social media to share the achievement.
“Local legend Mic Noble put the call out for 150 knitted poppies for his annual ANZAC Day display at Logan Central Memorial Garden,” he said.
“One week later Elaine and the ladies from Mission Possible had provided all 150 poppies.
“This is what’s possible with Mission Possible Volunteers.
“Just a phenomenal effort. And the end result is truly something special.”
Mission Possible Volunteers are a team of passionate ladies that sew for the Logan City community.
Gail Harrower, the founder and coordinator of Logan City not for profit group Mission Possible Volunteers, said she was blown away by her volunteers hard work.
“My young lady Elaine did all poppies,” Ms Harrower said.
“Amongst other things, always busy. I just requested and she delivered.
“Unbelievable really the talented and generosity of all our ladies.
“Elaine Stewart came to the rescue within minutes of asking her, 154 in just over a week plus all the other things she makes.”
