As the rain comes down across South-East Queensland it seems parts of the Scenic Rim escaped the worst of the weather.

As parts of Logan City got flooded with rainfall of 113mm within a one hour period,  Kooralbyn received almost half that amount with rain gauge recordings of 64mm.

According to the weather bureau it was from a storm cell that stretched from Boonah to Beaudesert,  but even then,  Beaudesert only received 1mm of rain.

According to a bureau forecaster,  other areas within the region had received little to no rain.

The wild weather across the weekend comes with a warning – “More to come”.

The rain’s expected to continue through Monday and Tuesday,  then begin to show signs of weakening come Wednesday.

“We may not see sunshine until Thursday” according to forecaster Matt Marshall.

“Another front will arrive today from the west bringing more rain”.

The Queensland Government has again issue its normal roads message  “If it’s flooded, forget it”.

A lot of the flooding has centred around Eaglby and Beenleigh with the potential for flash flooding in low lying areas.
