But there is some good news out of today’s budget  and that is it’s improving at a faster rate than expected and there’s less of a need to borrow.

Net debt will be 10 billion dollars less than the original estimate of 130 billion dollars within 4 years.

The Woodridge MP says the budget is forecast to return to surplus in 2024

As promised, it includes a record 22 billion dollar spend on health, which will help address ambulance ramping and the shortage of hospital beds.

Just under 17 billion has been set aside for education, including 10 new schools.

And there’ll be more housing for vulnerable families, with 1 point 9 billion dollars going towards accelerating construction.
