2021 is the 100th year of Rotary in Australia and New Zealand, and four Logan City Rotary Clubs have come together to celebrate the momentous milestone.

Rotary Club of Logan’s past president Tony Capitano said it was going to be an exciting event.

“Rotary along with all its good works within our communities first started in Australia on the 21st April 1921,” Mr Capitano said.

“To celebrate this momentous occasion, the 4 Rotary Clubs of the City of Logan (Beenleigh, Browns Plains, Logan & Loganholme) are holding a 1920s themed Drive-In movie (Staypylton) on the 21st April 2021.

“The film being The Greatest Showman and prizes for the 1920’s best dressed on the night.

“The invitation is to all in our community and we very much welcome vintage car clubs or individuals to come along with their cars to help make this a grand evening.

“Also, it wouldn’t be a Rotary event without a good raffle with all the money raised going back into our community.”

The drive in movie night will be at the Yatala drive in movie theatre and tickets are $35 per vehicle.
