Queensland’s coronavirus restrictions are easing further from this weekend which will give greater freedom for Logan City locals.

However,  others are getting tighter in the wake of the recent health care doctor to catch Covid 19.

As a result,  ALL non-essential visits to hospitals in the Greater Brisbane area, including Logan Hospital – are banned after a doctor tested positive to COVID-19 after treating two patients at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Queensland Health has also announced that all non-essential visits to hospitals, residential aged care facilities, disability accommodation services and correctional facilities will cease.  This will be reviewed on Tuesday.

From 1am Saturday,   the number of people allowed in local homes will double to 100 people.. while up to 500 people will be able to gather outdoors.

Campsite limits will also be removed, and the number of people who can be in a lift at one time will rise from four to six.

All restricted businesses can open, in line with the COVID Safe Framework.

Logan City Businesses that have never been required to close (e.g. grocery stores) can continue to operate as they have been.

NOTE:

physical distancing rules still apply. So wherever possible, people should remain 1.5 metres away from others.
