The RSPCA wants locals to continue their fight against animal cruelty.
The comment follows last week’s discovery of a cat with a bullet wound in its shoulder at Morayfield.
The RSPCA’s Michael Beattie says Logan City is far from exempt on complaints about animal cruelty. “If you see evidence of animal cruelty or wish to make a complaint, call the RSPCA on 1300 ANIMAL” You can also click HERE for more information from the RSPCA.
Common complaints include untreated injuries, living in poor conditions and insufficient food or water.
Based on 2019 figures, Logan City recorded more than 1500 animal cruelty complaints.
Suburbs that recorded the most complaints included Crestmead (89 cases), Beenleigh (89), Marsden (69), Browns Plains (68), Jimboomba (65) and Greenbank (52).
