Just days after our earlier My News Feed story about vandalism in the Mount Warren Park community,  Logan City Council has moved swiftly to clean up the area and remove offending graffiti.

The matter was raised at last week’s Council meeting with local residents also using social media to voice their concerns.

The vandalism was on a recently installed kiddies bike track, and included the Nazi symbol, a picture of male genitals with a Nazi symbol on it, and the words ‘White pride’ next to another Nazi symbol.

The discovery prompted calls for additional CCTV cameras to be installed in the area.

Councillor Karen Murphy also used social media to share her disgust.

“Thank you to the Mount Warren Park residents who reported the disgusting, anti-Semitic graffiti at Noyer Park,” she said.

“The graffiti has been reported for immediate removal.

“Logan City Council’s City Standards Branch will be going through the CCTV cameras at the park and investigate this incredibly disgusting act.

Residents now report the graffiti has since been removed.
