Police believe they know the cause of an horrific fatal car crash on the Moonie Highway in the Western Downs.
The crash killed a 48 year old woman from Western Australia who is thought to have swerved to avoid hitting an animal on the road and lost control of the vehicle.
A 46-year-old man suffered neck pain and serious back injuries, while two primary school-aged boys were treated for cuts.
All three were taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Toowoomba hospital.
Anyone who may have dashcam footage should contact police.
The vehicle was also carrying the family’s two husky dogs. They’ve been given the all-clear and were taken to a local shelter.
