Logan City man jailed again but this time it’s not for animal cruelty

A Logan City man who’s already served jail time for animal cruelty is back behind bars for traffic offences.

The Waterford West local appeared in the Beenleigh Magistrates court yesterday.

The court was presented with previous evidence of the man’s traffic offences that totalled a six page document, including incidents in Yatala and Pimpama in September last year.

The man was sentenced to nine months jail with a potential parole date in the middle of August and was disqualified from driving for two years.

It follows a previous convictions and jail time in 2019 for punching a puppy and breaking its leg.

The man told RSPCA investigators, the husky bit his hand in the 2017 incident leading to the court appearance two years later.
