Souths Logan Magpies’s newly re-signed club captain says he is excited by the prospect of regular first grade rugby league returning to Logan City for the first time in 18 years.

Logan Brothers junior Cameron Booth says that the facilities at Marsden State High School, which will host matches in newly re-branded Hostplus Cup in 2022, are top-notch.
The famed rugby league nursery has produced many football players of note over the years, including several current contracted Magpies players.
The Souths Logan Magpies will play four regular season games at the venue where they defeated the Townsville Blackhawks in this year’s semi-final in front of a healthy crowd.
“Marsden’s had a fair upgrade over the last few years and Saturday night games under the lights will be a bit easier for the bigger fellas.”
“I don’t think there’s too many clubs which have ice baths and newly-decked out sheds.
“It’s a bit different to Davies Park, which has been pretty similar for the last 100 years.
“It’s just down the road from my place at Bethania which will be an easier trip for me as well!”
The Magpies will be aiming to win their first premiership in 13 years, when they take to the field in the 2022 season.
