Beam will be rolling out its e-scooters across Logan from today just in time for Christmas.
To start with they’ll be operating in Underwood, Woodridge, Slacks Creek, Springwood and Logan Central.
The e-scooter hire company will branch out further early next year to other suburbs, including Kuraby and Meadowbrook.
Beam provides two publicly available micro mobility options, the Beam Saturn X e-scooter and the Beam Apollo e-bike.
They can be hired using the Beam app to locate the nearest available option and left in a public place for the next rider to use.
Beam will be providing the e-scooters at an unlock fee of $1 and a $0.45 operating fee per minute.
