Your New Year’s Eve and New Year’s day celebrations are expected to be dampened by showers and a possible thunderstorm.
The Bureau of Meteorology says you can expect it to be cloudy on New Year’s Eve with a 60 percent chance of showers in the evening and temperatures ranging from 15 degrees to the mid to high 20’s during the day. Winds should be southeasterly at 20 to 30 kilometres an hour.
On New Year’s Day it’s expected to be cloudy again with an 80 percent chance of rain and the possibility of a thunderstorm. Overnight temperatures should range between 17 and 20 degrees with the daytime temperature in the low to high 20’s with winds expected from the south-east gusting at 20 to 30 kilometres an hour.
