The number of people infected with COVID-19 in Logan and the Scenic Rim is more than yesterday and there are 16 more deaths across Queensland, including a child under the age of 10 who had a very rare and underlying medical condition.
Logan now has 22,309 infections – a jump of 412 overnight, while the Scenic Rim has reached 1,155 cases – an increase of 44.
Of the other 15 deaths, two were in their 50s, five in their 70s, three in their 80s and five in their 90s.
Six were unvaccinated, two had one dose of the vaccine, five were double vaccinated and two had been given booster shots.
Statewide there are 9,630 news cases with 837 people in hospital and 50 under intensive care.
