New research has revealed the total cost of sending a child to school continues to increase, with parents across Logan forking out extra money during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The research forecasts the total cost of a government education in the region is now more than $78,000 over thirteen years, when accounting for fees and associated costs.
That figure increases to more than $121,000 for a Catholic education and $164,000 for independent schooling.
Kate Hill from Futurity Investment Group says the findings highlight the need for parents to consider all of the costs that come with sending a child to school.
