Two men in their thirties are recovering from their injuries in Princess Alexandra Hospital after a serious truck and ute crash on the Springfield Greenbank Arterial road at Greenback just after seven o’çlock this morning.
Queensland Ambulance Service Acting Senior Operations Supervisor Mark Benstead says the driver of the ute managed to extricate himself from the wreckage of his vehicle after sustaining some minor injuries and was transported to hospital in a stable condition.
Mr Benstead says it took a long time for paramedics, firies and police officers to free the truck driver from the crushed cabin of his vehicle and both men are lucky to be alive after such a serious crash.
“It’s a timely reminder for all motorists just to exercise caution, make sure they remain vigilant, patient and courteous when using our roads.”
