A man has died after being shot by police at a Marsden shopping centre in Logan.
It’s believed officers shot the man up to three times after he lunged at them with a knife during an incident at McDonald’s.
The man allegedly advanced towards the officers and one can be heard yelling “get on the ground” before multiple shots are fired.
A police statement says officers responded to a disturbance at the shopping centre on Chambers Flat Road at 4.45pm.
The man was accused of robbing the Coles supermarket and a 7/11 before entering Maccas.
He was rushed by ambulance to Logan Hospital in a critical condition but couldn’t be saved.
