The simple life, sometimes that all we long for right? Casual, relaxed, and friendly… is that not the essence of a good local coffee spot? The Waterford Coffee Spot ticks these boxes, this is not your fancy breakfast spot, you find anything revolutionary on the menu. What you will find in breakfast staples cooked well and served with a friendly smile.
The Coffee Pot is located on Loganlea road in the set of shops next to Club Hotel Waterford. It has a small outdoor seating area and a couple of tables inside. As I said, the menu has nothing that jumps out at you, but features all your standard breakfast meals. I went with classic bacon and eggs which comes with Bacon, Eggs (cooked your way) and Toast. It does normally include a tomato but, fun fact, I severely dislike Tomato! Coming in at $15 it way slightly higher than expected without being crazy price wise.
The meal was good, bacon and eggs cooked well paired with a simple white bread toast. It is a classic and done in a way that I cannot complain about. The coffee was along the same lines. Good without being mind-blowing. A solid offering that was a great start to the day.
Service is where this style of cafe needs to shine and The Waterford Coffee Pot achieves that. The lady that served me was pleasant and friendly. She made sure to speak to me about my day and what I was up to. As cheesy as it may sound I did feel very comfortable and welcome there.
Overall if you are looking for a nice easy no-frills cafe, this is a great option.
