Local fire ban

  • Scott Mayman is an award-winning radio presenter and journalist who has worked professionally in both Australia and in the United States and is also a Correspondent for CBS News Radio in New York.

Residents across Logan City and the Scenic Rim will have to adhere to a local fire ban due to heightened fire conditions.

From midnight Saturday night, no open fires will be allowed across parts of South East Queensland.

Council areas include,  Logan City,  Scenic Rim,  the Gold Coast, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, and Somerset areas.

It’s expected to last until 11:59pm Monday,  pending conditions.
