Logan City showcases premier food destinations in SEQ Food Trails

Logan City is proudly showcasing the incredible food businesses on offer for locals and visitors through the South East Queensland Food Trails.

Logan City Lifestyle Chair, Councillor Laurie Koranski says The Logan City Food Trails is an important initiative of Logan City Council and the SEQ Council of Mayors.

“The past 12 months have been challenging for our hospitality industry so it is more important than ever that we promote our local food businesses, especially at a time when we are being encouraged to support local economies by exploring our own backyards,” Logan City Lifestyle Chair, Councillor Laurie Koranski said.

So far, Contemporary Cakes in Daisy Hill, Extraction Artisan Coffee at Slacks Creek, Poppy’s Chocolate at Beenleigh, White House of Waterford, Jimboomba House and Thai Orchid at Springwood have joined the trails.

Owner of Jimboomba House Restaurant Zsuzsanna Guinan says the team are extremely happy to participate, and believe the venue has a considerable amount to offer to the food trail concept.

As for being part of the Logan City Food Trails, Ms Guinan says she believes it will create a greater awareness of the diverse range of venues and facilities in our area.

“We see this as a positive and proactive approach and we are grateful to be included,” she said.

Lynda Pedder, owner and founder of Poppy’s Chocolate, says she is super excited to be part of the first Logan City Food Trails.

“We’ve been part of an unofficial Food Trail for a long time but it’s great that new people will discover us through this,” she said.
