Logan district police expect to make more arrests after this week’s breakthrough in a 21 year old cold case shooting in Logan City, in which an officer was injured.

Senior Constable Neil Scutts was shot during the March 1999 armed robbery of an NAB bank in Browns Plains.

A 49-year old Brisbane man is now facing 13 charges including two counts of attempted murder.

Detective Inspector Tod Reid says they’re aware of other people involved in the incident.

In November, Queensland police increased the reward for information leading to an arrest to a half million dollars.

Prior to the breakthrough, this had been the longest ongoing cold case involving a police shooting in Australia.
